Structural Designer

As a structural designer, you will work as part of project teams where projects and workdays vary. One project may be extensive and include a lot of repetitive design work, while the next may be a smaller, faster-paced undertaking. The work combines preparing plans, working with building information models, and calculating structures. At the beginning of your career, you will mainly focus on the design tasks assigned to you, and your range of responsibilities will expand as your expertise grows. The size and nature of the projects vary, so the content of the work also changes according to the project. We are looking for We are looking for a structural designer with some prior experience in structural design and a desire to take the next step in developing their expertise. The role is suitable for you if you want to design different types of buildings and do not want to be restricted to an overly narrow specialisation. We expect you to have: A suitable construction-sector education (Master of Science in Technology or engineering degree from a university of applied sciences) Preferably around 2–5 years of experience in structural design Good structural engineering knowledge Building information modelling skills, for example with Tekla Structures and/or Revit Familiarity with CAD and calculation software A customer-oriented and collaborative approach to work Fluent Finnish is essential for the role, and good English is needed. Swedish language skills are an advantage. If a client project requires it, a security clearance may be carried out during employment. An approved security clearance is a condition for continuing the employment.
