CARPENTER – Varied adventures Do you like building something new or repairing something old, or are both your thing—a bit like a construction buffet where you get to do everything? Here you can work on both damage repairs and new construction, so workdays are definitely not copies of one another. If your heart beats especially for damage repair, we can give the work a little more emphasis in that direction. Damage repair Here you take part in the whole repair process: from demolition and drying to reconstruction. You need to be able to understand the overall situation, interpret reports and move the work forward using your own judgement and professional skills. As is part of repair work, being prepared for surprises may sometimes be part of the job too—we still do not require a crystal ball or forecasting skills, but situational awareness and an understanding of structures help. New construction Different stages of construction may be included in the work, such as building partition walls, preparing surfaces and finishing them, the final details such as fitting trim and panelling, and small-scale furniture installations, depending on the worksite and your own skills. What makes a good carpenter for us? • Experience in carpentry (you do not need to be a 30-year veteran, but you should know your way around a hammer). • A valid Occupational Safety Card. • A car to get between worksites—a bicycle will not quite get you there in time. • Finnish language skills, because instructions and reports at the worksites are in Finnish. What do we offer? • €17–19 per hour, depending on how much magic you have in your toolbox. • Pay twice a month, so you do not have to wait too long. • Quality workwear that can withstand more than one worksite.
