Cloud Migration Project Manager

We are seeking an experienced project manager to take overall responsibility for our public-sector client’s internal cloud migration programme. Alongside traditional project management, the role emphasises directing specialist work, leading changes to operating practices and engaging stakeholders in the change objectives. Key tasks and responsibilities: Overall leadership of the cloud migration programme: • Directing specialist work • Leading changes to operating models and processes • Leading the assessment, communication and implementation of change impacts • Engaging management, experts and operational staff • Stakeholder collaboration and ensuring commitment to the change objectives Required skills: • Project management • At least five years’ experience leading extensive cloud migration or infrastructure transformation projects • A strong track record of leading ICT change initiatives Change management: • A record of successfully delivered transformation projects that changed organisational operating models and processes • Experience planning and implementing changes to working practices, roles and responsibilities • Ability to lead the assessment, communication and implementation of change impacts • Experience engaging management, experts and operational staff in change Understanding of cloud and service production: • Sufficient understanding of cloud services and their service-production models • Experience developing service production and service management Selection process: Applications are reviewed at Solita in order of arrival during the application period, and we arrange short Teams meetings with the most suitable candidates. A security clearance is required before starting! Allocation: 100% (full-time) Duration: The assignment starts as soon as a suitable person is found. It is expected to continue at least until June 2027. Languages: Finnish. Location: Mainly remote work. Visits to the client’s office in the Helsinki metropolitan area at the client’s request.
