Join us in building something entirely new. Would you like to do meaningful work in demanding disability services and help establish a completely new unit? This is a unique opportunity. We are looking for practical nurses for permanent, full-time positions at the Validia House in Vihti, opening toward the end of the year. You will support a good everyday life for clients with intellectual disabilities and autism spectrum conditions and help build the new unit’s culture from its very first days. Validia House in Vihti is an 18-place high-support unit for clients with intellectual disabilities and autism spectrum conditions. It comprises five group homes and is designed to meet the individual needs of clients requiring intensive support. Its work centres on a good life for clients, safe everyday life, and a high-quality rehabilitative approach. What does the role involve? As a practical nurse, you will be part of a multidisciplinary team and be responsible for clients’ daily care, guidance and rehabilitative everyday life. You will support clients’ participation, functional ability and good life according to their individual needs. You will help establish the unit’s practices together with a new team and influence what everyday life in the unit becomes like. The work is performed in three shifts. What do we hope for from you? We value experience in disability services and working with clients on the autism spectrum. Neurodiversity expertise and experience working with clients requiring intensive support, mental health rehabilitation clients or demanding child protection are considered an advantage. We hope you can meet different people calmly, consistently and in a client-centred way, including in challenging situations. We value skills in alternative communication methods, such as using pictures or sign-supported speech. You work responsibly and independently, while also making use of the strengths of the team and multidisciplinary cooperation.
