Learn more about the work of a Store Manager at JYSK. THE STORE MANAGER’S WORK AT JYSK Your varied and busy working days consist of supervisory duties, team leadership and sales. You are comprehensively and independently responsible for, among other things, your store’s sales results, your team’s performance, implementation of JYSK concepts, the store’s commercial presentation, the quality of customer service, well-being at work and occupational safety. You plan and carry out annual seasonal changes, ensure that the store concept and routines are implemented, monitor your store’s key figures and react quickly to matters requiring correction. You lead your team by example and with clear goals. Your responsibilities include recruitment, employment matters, shift planning and developing your team. You are a responsible supervisor who helps people shine and enjoy their work. You are also responsible for matters including controlling store expenses, the payroll budget and inventory management. The work requires good general physical fitness, and you will have the best tools and the support of your team. WHAT WE EXPECT FROM YOU Experience and a track record in supervisory work and leading your own team. Retail experience is an advantage but is not essential. You are motivated to achieve sales results through your team, want to reach your own and your store’s targets, and exceed expectations. You enjoy a fast-paced, competitive and varied work environment. You like a rapid work pace and even unexpected tasks during a shift. You take responsibility for matters independently and enjoy the freedom that comes with responsibility, while also knowing how to delegate and involve others in working toward goals. Giving feedback actively is also a major part of your work and your team’s development. You can tolerate unfinished tasks because there is a lot to do and not everything can always be completed at once. You recover quickly from setbacks and continue to see new things as interesting opportunities to pursue with positive energy. You are flexible regarding duties, working hours and schedules. Work takes place in varying shifts in the morning, evening and at weekends. You are a respectful colleague, a results-oriented retailer and committed to working promptly toward agreed goals.
