We are now seeking foster parents for Validia Family Care in Turku. In foster care, the child becomes part of your family and lives a normal daily life with you. As a foster caregiver you are genuinely present for the child in everyday joys and sorrows, including challenging moments. The daily life can be meaningful yet demanding, and requires patience, flexibility and the ability to meet the child where they are. The position is based on a service contract that sets the care allowance and expense reimbursement. A PRIDE pre-training or equivalent process training is required. If the training is missing, you will receive it from Validia Family Care before starting. We provide comprehensive support after training as well and accompany you throughout the journey. You will receive guidance for everyday situations, and the work involves consideration for other family members. You will have access to mentoring, supervisory sessions, additional training and family days. If necessary you will get home help, and as a foster parent you have the Family Care law leaves. We hope you have a stable life situation and sufficient resources to commit to the child’s everyday life. We value willingness to cooperate with the child’s relatives and other professionals and a desire to learn new things. Suitable education or experience is an advantage but not a prerequisite. A driver’s license is required, and a criminal record check for those working with children will be checked. We offer comprehensive support from family care professionals throughout the process and training for the position.
