Assistant Store Manager

We are now hiring an Assistant Store Manager for the Sale Terälahti team for a permanent 32–37.5-hour-per-week position. The work starts by agreement. In this responsible assistant manager role, you ensure high-quality customer service, shared goals, profitable operations, and staff comfort and wellbeing. The Sale Terälahti store manager is responsible for two units, so when the manager is away you will be able to take responsibility for the entire store’s operations together with the team. As assistant manager, you work alongside the team in everyday tasks, including unloading deliveries and stocking shelves, which require physical strength and speed. We require a genuine customer-service attitude and availability for varied shift work. The store serves customers Monday–Saturday from 8:00 to 21:00 and Sunday from 10:00 to 20:00. In summer, opening hours are longer: Monday–Saturday from 8:00 to 22:00 and Sunday from 10:00 to 22:00. Sale Terälahti is located about 39 kilometres from central Tampere. Because of the location, you must be able to use your own car. Previous experience in grocery retail responsibility roles and a track record of successful team leadership are considered an advantage. Our work is digital today, so we expect you to be proactive and comfortable using systems and the store’s IT tools. You will succeed if you can use the essential store systems at a basic level and are eager to learn new things. As assistant manager, you use the checkout system and mobile devices, and make use of the store’s back-office systems to make everyday work run smoothly. The job also includes using electronic shelf labels, product scanning and MS Office programs. We offer you excellent staff benefits available throughout Finland.
