Structural Renovation Designer

Would you like to help develop and renew existing buildings through varied projects while growing your expertise and building a career of your own? We are looking for you, a structural renovation designer, to join Granlund Saimaa. You will work on a range of renovation projects. Your duties will particularly include structural design for housing-company renovation projects, structural design for changes at industrial sites, and other varied, smaller structural-design assignments. You will take part in projects at different stages and work closely with clients, contractors and specialists from other design disciplines. You will be part of an experienced group of experts that supports you in projects and enables continuous professional development. Your role will ultimately take shape according to our projects, your expertise and your interests. Together we will make sure the role fits what motivates you. In addition to structural design, your work may include supervising construction sites and construction management tasks if you are interested in them or have relevant experience. You will work mainly at our office, which has been designed for comfort and flexibility, with spaces suited to teamwork and focused work. Around 80 property and construction professionals work at Granlund Saimaa. We have an informal atmosphere, colleagues are always ready to help, and management is easy to approach. Your salary for this role is €3,200–€4,000 per month. In addition to your expertise, it depends on how well your profile and potential match what we are looking for. To succeed in this role, you need at least a construction engineering degree and a few years of experience in structural-design work. You have experience using AutoCAD and can manage the basic structural-design processes independently. We particularly value experience with renovation projects, but the most important thing is your interest in developing your expertise in the field. It is important to us that you work naturally with clients and project teams. You enjoy working with others. You can manage and schedule your own work and take responsibility for your work and the progress of projects. You need fluent Finnish at work. English skills are also an advantage.
