Structural Designer

As a structural designer, you will work as part of project teams where the projects and working days vary. One project may be extensive and include a lot of repetitive design work, while the next may be a smaller, faster-paced assignment. The work combines preparing plans, working with building information models, and calculating structures. At the beginning of your career, you will mainly focus on the design tasks assigned to you, and your range of responsibilities will expand as your skills develop. Working with building information models. Developing design solutions together with the project team. Projects may include residential apartment buildings or industrial buildings, for example. The size and nature of projects vary, so the tasks also change from project to project. We are looking for a structural designer who already has some experience in structural design and wants to take the next step in developing their expertise. The role is suitable if you want to design a range of different buildings and do not want to be limited to a very narrow specialisation. We expect you to have: Suitable education in the construction field (MSc in Technology or a University of Applied Sciences engineering degree). Preferably around 2–5 years of experience in structural design. Good structural engineering skills. Building information modelling skills, for example with Tekla Structures and/or Revit. Knowledge of CAD and calculation software. A customer-focused and collaborative way of working. Fluent Finnish is essential for the role, and good English is needed. Swedish language skills are an advantage. If required by the client project, a security clearance may be carried out during employment. An approved security clearance is a condition for continuing the employment.
