Are you an unemployed jobseeker and a client of employment services? Are you interested in a work trial? Apply to us! The work trial lasts 3–6 months and is intended for unemployed jobseekers to support their return to working life. Please check with your employment services specialist whether you are eligible for a work trial. Please note that we do not offer hourly or seasonal work. Our open positions are work-trial placements intended for unemployed jobseekers. Join us for a work trial in sorting and pricing goods! We offer work-trial placements sorting and pricing donated goods at Pääkaupunkiseudun Kierrätyskeskus’s Nihtisilta sorting centre in Espoo. Our sorting centre is a good place to start learning about the circular economy and gain work experience. You are an important part of the circular economy and work with sorting goods, pricing or warehouse tasks. You will see the flow of materials as textiles, clothing, books and other household goods are sorted. In sorting tasks, you can learn about assessing goods and assigning price categories by product group, as well as packing batches of goods for stores, for example into roll containers. We use a modern textile sorting conveyor. The work also includes organising intermediate and seasonal storage. Please note that work at the sorting centre is physical and involves a lot of standing, walking and carrying donated goods. Because of textile dust, the work is not suitable for people with dust allergies or asthma. We will train you in your tasks from the start, so you do not necessarily need previous work experience in these tasks. Weekly working time is 32.5 hours on the morning shift. The work trial lasts 3–6 months. During the trial, you may take part in job coaching or, if you wish, complete parts of a qualification in logistics, business or environmental studies through practical work. Finnish is our company’s working language. For this reason, working with us requires at least satisfactory spoken Finnish and the ability to manage everyday work situations in Finnish. Induction is also in Finnish. Please therefore write your application in Finnish. If you want to improve your Finnish, you can do so with us. At some of our locations, we organise Finnish-language clubs that you can attend during working hours. Please note that the positions on offer are work-trial placements. A work trial is intended for unemployed jobseekers to support their return to working life. Please check with your employment services specialist whether you are eligible. We encourage participants to use our job coaches’ services and, after the trial, seek employment or studies in the open labour market. Some participants may have the opportunity to continue with us after the work trial in paid employment with a wage subsidy or Helsinki supplement. Please check your eligibility for wage subsidy or the Helsinki supplement with your city’s employment services. Read about the wage subsidy here: https://tyollisyys.palvelumanuaali.fi/palvelu/palkkatuki-henkiloasiakkaalle Read about the Helsinki supplement here: https://www.hel.fi/fi/yritykset-ja-tyo/tyonhakijat/aloita-tyonhaku/vaihtoehtoja-tyollistymiseen/helsinki-lisa-tyonhakijalle Please note that we do not offer hourly or seasonal work.
