Maintenance Technicians, Oulu Sawmill We are hiring mechanical maintenance technicians and electrical and automation technicians for permanent positions at the Oulu sawmill! What does the work involve? Mechanical maintenance technicians maintain the sawmill’s production lines and repair lines and machinery. They also participate in saw-line blade maintenance. We consider meaningful and varied work especially important. In a small team, you can use your skills broadly and help develop the day-to-day operation of our new facility. As an electrical and automation technician, you will work on varied tasks involving equipment maintenance and troubleshooting for production automation at the sawmill. The maintenance team’s shared goal is to ensure the uninterrupted operation of production lines and the proper functioning of building technology. Troubleshooting and sometimes creative problem-solving are an essential part of your daily work. What kind of person are we looking for? We are looking for skilled mechanical maintenance professionals who can handle varied repair and maintenance work on different production machines. You are comfortable with welding and independent problem-solving. Knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics is an advantage. For electrical and automation technician roles, we are looking for people trained in the field who already have some work experience in electrical and automation installation. It would be especially valuable if you already had experience in industrial maintenance and knowledge of automation logic systems such as Siemens, Beckhoff or Omron. We expect an energetic approach, cooperation skills, initiative and the ability to take responsibility. You are eager to learn new things and become familiar with the technology of the new sawmill. You readily tackle problems together with your team and are willing to improve production operations. You are a good colleague and get along with people as well as equipment, since you work with your coworkers and our equipment suppliers. The work is mainly carried out Monday to Friday in three shifts (morning, evening and night), with occasional weekend work as well. We therefore require readiness to work shifts and that you are at least 18 years old. Our production facility is in the Laanila industrial area near central Oulu, and it is possible to commute by bicycle or bus. How can you apply?
