We are looking for a practical nurse to join our skilled and warm-hearted team. You will not be left on your own; you will have skilled and pleasant colleagues to support you. The Kontiolahti Validia residence is a 24-hour supported-living unit with 25 residents. Our clients are people with disabilities and acquired impairments, and at Validia we enable them to live a life of their own and of good quality. Clients need extensive care, attention and daily support. The work is responsible and varied care work in which you can help build a safe, good everyday life for our clients. Your work includes supporting clients with daily activities, medication administration, monitoring their well-being and taking part in recreational activities. You will also act as the key worker for assigned clients and work closely with their families and the rest of the multidisciplinary network. We hope you have previous care-work experience, a responsible approach and, above all, a genuine interest and desire to support our clients’ well-being. We are looking for someone who treats clients with respect and sees care work as a meaningful part of their lives. What we require: - Relevant education in the social and health-care sector. - Registration in JulkiSuosikki as a social welfare professional with a protected occupational title. - Vaccination protection in accordance with section 48 of the Communicable Diseases Act and a tuberculosis assessment in accordance with section 55. - Presentation of a criminal-record extract in accordance with the Act on the Supervision of Social Welfare and Health Care. - A completed hygiene passport, or readiness to complete it within three months of starting employment. - Sufficient Finnish-language skills.
