Maintenance Fitter

We are seeking maintenance fitters for our client companies in the Turku economic area. Positions are available in production environments including manufacturing, machine shops and the marine industry. Both fixed-term positions and permanent employment are available. As a maintenance fitter, you keep production equipment operating. You troubleshoot equipment faults, carry out necessary repairs and take part in preventive maintenance. The focus of the role depends on your skills and the client company's needs. Your duties may include: - Servicing and repairing production machinery - Locating electrical or mechanical faults - Replacing sensors, motors and other components - Checking the operation of automation systems - Helping install and commission new equipment - Carrying out scheduled preventive maintenance - Reporting maintenance work and spare-parts needs You will work in cooperation with production, supervisors and other technical professionals. The work may be daytime or shift-based. Some positions require availability for on-call duty. We are looking for people with education in electrical, automation, mechanical or maintenance engineering and some experience with industrial equipment. Fitters who have developed through strong practical skills are also considered. We hope you have: - Technical problem-solving skills - An understanding of how machinery and production equipment operate - The ability to read electrical diagrams, drawings or maintenance instructions - Carefulness and safe working practices - The ability to work independently and show initiative - Readiness to cooperate with people in different occupations Knowledge of electrical and automation technology and previous experience in industrial maintenance are an advantage.
