Structural Designer, Ramboll (several locations) Are you a structural designer with some design experience who would like to work on a wide range of building projects? At Ramboll, you will design projects from residential apartment buildings to industrial facilities. Job description As a structural designer, you will work in project teams where projects and working days vary. One project may be extensive and involve a lot of repetitive design work, while the next may be a smaller, faster-paced assignment. The work combines preparing plans, working with building information models and calculating structures. Early in your career, you will mainly focus on assigned design tasks, with your scope expanding as your skills develop. Your workplace can be in Espoo, Turku, Seinäjoki, Vaasa or Kokkola. Project size and nature vary, so the work also changes from project to project. What we are looking for We are looking for a structural designer with some previous structural-design experience who wants to take the next step in developing their expertise. This role suits you if you want to design different types of buildings rather than become restricted to a narrow specialism. We expect you to have: Relevant construction-sector education (MSc or engineering degree from a university of applied sciences) Preferably around 2–5 years of structural-design experience Good structural engineering skills BIM skills, for example with Tekla Structures and/or Revit Familiarity with CAD and calculation software A customer-oriented and collaborative approach to work Fluent Finnish is essential for the role, and good English is needed. Swedish language skills are an advantage. If a client project requires it, a security clearance may be carried out during employment. A successful clearance is a condition for continuing employment.
