Site Supervisor (Lighting)

We are looking for a road lighting construction and maintenance professional for Päijät-Häme and South-Eastern Finland projects. The role can be tailored to either a site supervisor (työnjohtaja) or a site manager (työmaapäällikkö) based on experience, with the main workplace in Lahti. As a site supervisor you will run the daily on-site operations, ensuring work progresses as planned, safely, and to the required quality standards. You will manage practical guidance of road lighting contracts, scheduling, and reporting, while acting as the front-line manager for your team in line with Destia’s leadership promise. You will take responsibility for onboarding, well-being, and development of your staff, and you will support your own professional growth and career path. If you have more experience, the role can be evolved into a site manager, with end-to-end ownership of the regional operations, planning and directing contracts, resource management, budgeting, procurement, and meeting customer requirements. You will lead operations in accordance with top quality and safety standards. Core responsibilities include logistics management on site (materials, machines, resources), scheduling and resource management, quality assurance and reporting, cost tracking, subcontractor control, and people management. You will collaborate with designers, site managers, and unit heads, and we offer a permanent contract in a stable environment. To succeed, you should have relevant technical training (e.g., electrical engineering), at least 3 years of experience in street lighting, experience with traffic signal work is a plus, and possession of safety cards (work safety, electrical work safety, hot work, and Tieturva1). You should have experience leading teams in infrastructure or related fields, strong scheduling, resource and cost management skills, computer literacy with on-site management systems, a willingness to grow and learn, and initiative and decision‑making ability in operative work.
