Substitute position for a respite worker at the Raikula residential service unit in Ähtäri from 8.6 to 30.9.2026 or as agreed. Raikula offers 24-hour and communal living for residents with intellectual disabilities. The unit has ten apartments for round-the-clock care and six apartments for communal living. Our operations emphasize customer orientation, individuality, and supporting residents' self-determination and participation. The customer is at the center of our activities. We are seeking a respite worker for a fixed-term position to do valuable and meaningful work with people with intellectual disabilities. The duties include caring for, guiding, and supporting the residents in their daily activities and enabling an enriching everyday life. We offer diverse work where you can utilize your strengths. We expect good cooperation and communication skills, a positive and conscientious attitude, and a desire to provide high-quality, customer-oriented work. Flexibility, initiative, and creativity are valued. The work involves 2- or 3-shift work. Qualifications include a suitable social and health care degree or other relevant education. We require registration in the Finnish National Registry of Social Welfare and Health Care Professionals (Valvira), a LOVe medication authorization, and proficiency in Finnish. A hygiene passport is considered an advantage. Employment terms and salary are determined according to the SOTE agreement, with a starting salary of €2627.08/month. A trial period applies. A certificate of health and a criminal background check under law (741/2023) § 28 must be presented before starting. A drug test may be required. HYVAEP is a smoke-free workplace. The position requires vaccination against infectious diseases as per section 48 of the Infectious Diseases Act and a tuberculosis certificate as per section 55.
