The city of Kajaani is seeking a full-time teacher for basic education for a fixed-term position at Keskuskoulu from August 1, 2026, to July 31, 2027. The duties of the full-time teacher include teaching home economics and crafts with soft materials in a comprehensive school for grades 3-9. The role also involves teaching health education in the lower secondary school and supervising a class. The position requires excellent organizational and interaction skills, good subject knowledge in the taught subjects, and the ability to guide young people in home economics and crafts studies and practical work. The employee will be supported by an experienced team of subject teachers. At Keskuskoulu, you will work in a community with a positive working atmosphere and collaborative colleagues. The salary is in accordance with OVTES. The salary for a qualified teacher of grades 7-9 is €3,220.91. Qualifications include certification as a home economics and crafts teacher (qualification requirements for education personnel, decree no 986/1998).
