The Western Uusimaa Wellbeing Region's institutional care units, Kaarna and Käpy, are located in Nupuri, Espoo, near Nuuksio. We are currently seeking a director for a permanent position at Käpy. Käpy is a special unit that accommodates children under 12 years old at the time of placement. The unit operates with a multidisciplinary team led by a child protection service manager. At Käpy, work is based on family-oriented rehabilitation and child-centered approaches, aiming for children to return home or be placed in foster care if return is not possible. The unit includes children's rooms and a family room where families can stay overnight and participate in daily activities. We support and strengthen parents in their educational role and help children and families find their own resources. We also emphasize activities and utilize natural opportunities for various activities and recreation. The work involves shift work in three shifts, with consideration of your preferences in scheduling. The job includes regular team meetings, group supervision, and internal training based on emerging needs. What do we expect from you? The director's responsibilities include child care and upbringing tasks, peer supervision, family and network work, documentation, and daily activities within the children's home. Active participation in developing your work, professionalism, and unit operations with the team is part of the role. We also have a cook and food service worker responsible for meal arrangements, and cleaning services handle cleaning, allowing you to focus on child care and upbringing.
