Tehtävänkuvaus

The South Ostrobothnia Wellbeing Services County is hiring six (6) positions for nurses at the day hospital/home hospital starting from October 1, 2026, or as agreed. Initial placements are at Alavus Day/Home Hospital (1 position), Alajärvi Day/Home Hospital (1 position), Kauhajoki Day/Home Hospital (2 positions), Kurikka Day/Home Hospital (1 position), and Seinäjoki Day/Home Hospital (1 position). The day hospital/home hospital is a care unit where patients receive hospital-level care every day of the week from 7 am to 10 pm. The unit treats acute patients as well as palliative and home care patients. The work includes reception duties, providing care at home, assessing care needs, planning, and implementing care in multidisciplinary collaboration with various actors, the patient, and their relatives. Additionally, the work may include tasks assigned separately by the employer. The nurse's work involves two-shift work. The nursing work is diverse, independent, and responsible team work. It requires decision-making readiness, flexibility, a positive attitude, good cooperation and communication skills, and expertise in family care work. We require strong clinical skills, experience in acute care, care need assessment, experience in home services, and broad knowledge of medication management and medication administration. Completion of LOVe medication management studies is mandatory. An advanced palliative care qualification is an advantage. We also value previous experience in palliative and end-of-life care. We emphasize the suitability of the applicant for the position. The qualification requirement is a licensed nurse (law 559/94). Terms of employment and salary are based on the applicable SOTE agreement, with a task-specific salary of €3050.40 per month at the start of employment. A trial period applies during the employment process. A certificate of health status and a criminal background check according to law 504/2002 must be presented before starting the position. A drug test may be required from the selected candidate. HYVAEP is a nicotine-free workplace. The position requires vaccination protection against infectious diseases according to section 48 of the Infectious Diseases Act and a certificate regarding tuberculosis of the respiratory tract according to section 55.
