Työtehtävän kuvaus
You will primarily work at two of our daycare centers: Suurpelto Daycare and Maakirja Daycare. The daycare centers are located close to each other and accessible by good transportation links. Suurpelto Daycare has six groups for children aged 0-6 years, with two groups providing pre-primary education. Maakirja Daycare has two groups for children aged 0-5 years. Both units emphasize positive pedagogy and leadership, inclusivity and multiculturalism, child-centeredness, and sensitive, child-respecting interaction. We always aim to collaborate well and respectfully with children's guardians. As a traveling childcare worker in early childhood education, you will work in the groups where a substitute is needed. Your work is varied, allowing you to work with different groups and children. Flexibility is essential, as there will be changes in work units and shifts. You will often receive information about your next day's group and shift in advance, but no later than the morning of the same day. We offer a supportive work community that values teamwork, openness, and individual strengths. Both children and adults are met individually and respectfully. A substitute is an important and welcomed colleague for us – welcome to our team! Workplace names and addresses: Suurpelto Daycare (Poppelikuja 4, 02250 Espoo) and Maakirja Daycare (Klariksentie 2 D, 02250 Espoo) Working hours: 38 hours 15 minutes/week The position is permanent starting from August 3, 2026. We will consider all applications received during the application period. We can process applications and conduct interviews during the application period. The final selection will be made after the application period ends and interviews are completed. The planned interview dates are June 8, 2026, and June 12, 2026. Eligibility requirement: Qualification according to the Finnish Act on Early Childhood Education (540/2018, Section 28, Regulation 753/2018, Sections 3 and 4). Suitable educational background includes a basic qualification in education and guidance, social and health care, or an equivalent qualification, which includes or has been supplemented with sufficiently broad studies in child care, upbringing, and education. Examples include childcare worker, daycare worker, and practical nurse (child and youth care program). We require good cooperation skills, a positive and flexible work attitude, and good or very good spoken Finnish language skills. Applicants must present a criminal record extract as proof of compliance with the Criminal Records Act, Section 6.2. Infectious disease law requires those working with preschool children to assess the risk of tuberculosis transmission. We value the ability to meet children and their parents individually, respectfully, and sensitively. Join us in nurturing a responsible and caring new generation!
