We are seeking a qualified early childhood education teacher for a permanent position. Our daycare has 8 different groups with children aged 1-6 years, and also includes two preschool groups. You may specify your preferred age group. We value small group activities and daily structure to ensure children feel secure. Our daily activities emphasize drama work and plays, physical activity, and forest trips. The daycare has excellent facilities for small group activities, a large hall, atelier, workshop, and other small rooms. We are an open, enthusiastic, positive, and experimental daycare. Our staff combines a relaxed working style with strong professional skills and an understanding of the significance of early childhood education. We offer mentoring support to help you start your career as an early childhood education teacher. With the support of a mentoring group, you will become familiar with Espoo’s early childhood education practices and learn to recognize your strengths and skills. This will also contribute to your professional growth and well-being at work. You will have the opportunity to discuss the joys and challenges of early career development with an experienced mentor and connect with other novice early childhood education teachers. Workplace name and address: Juvanpuiston Children's House Daycare, Juvanpuistonkuja 3, 02920 Espoo Working hours: 38 hours 15 minutes/week The position is permanent, and you can start between June 1, 2026, and August 10, 2026, or by agreement. Qualifications: According to the Finnish Act on Early Childhood Education (540/2018). At minimum, a Bachelor's degree in Education, including early childhood education teacher training, or a social and health care degree (early childhood education) or an equivalent previous qualification, e.g., kindergarten teacher or social educator (Act 272/2005 and Regulation 608/2005). Recent graduates in early childhood education are also considered. We require good interaction skills and teamwork skills. The selected candidate must present a criminal record extract as required by the Criminal Records Act 6.2 §. The Infectious Diseases Act requires those working with preschool children to assess tuberculosis risk.
