The Järviseutu Vocational Education Consortium is seeking a PROJECT MANAGER for the Kohtaamo South Ostrobothnia ESR+ subproject for a fixed term from August 1, 2026, to May 31, 2029. Kohtaamo South Ostrobothnia is a subproject co-financed by ESR+ aimed at promoting employment, skills, continuous learning, and flexible educational pathways in the region. To support employment, the project promotes various forms of work, self-employment, and entrepreneurship for target groups and encourages skills development. The primary target group includes job seekers, the unemployed, those outside the labor force, graduating students, and individuals with weak attachment to the labor market. Secondary target groups include regional employers, municipalities, educational institutions at various levels, and the working-age population. The project is led by Seinäjoki Vocational Education Consortium Sedu, with Järviseutu Vocational Education Consortium, Suomen Yrittäjäopisto Oy, and employment areas TyöLakeus (Seinäjoki city) and Kymppi municipality consortium as partners. The Project Manager is responsible for the practical implementation, coordination, achievement of results, reporting, documentation, and communication of the subproject activities within the broader regional project framework. Tasks include building and maintaining cooperation with employers and stakeholders, conducting needs assessments, organizing workshops, networking events, and training. Applicants are required to have a higher university degree and qualifications according to the decree on the qualifications of education personnel (986/98). Additionally, the following are required: - Strong R&D expertise - Good negotiation and interaction skills, and networking ability - Ability to work independently and in teams - Extensive experience in customer service and cooperation with working life Experience in teaching and work/study coaching is valued. Success in the role requires flexibility, initiative, and the ability to work with diverse target groups. The salary and other terms of employment are determined according to the municipal general collective agreement. The working hours are full-time, approximately 36.25 hours per week, considering the operational needs of the educational institution. The position is primarily based in Alajärvi, but tasks require the use of a personal car and travel between different locations. The consortium has offices in Alavus, Alajärvi, Kurejoki, Lappajärvi, and Vimpeli. The appointment is subject to a six-month probation period. The selected candidate must provide a medical certificate and a criminal record extract as required by law (504/2002) before starting.
