Welcome to our warm-hearted daycare! Daycare Miska-talo (www.miskatalo.fi) is a small, home-like daycare with 42 places, where children can grow and learn in a safe, warm environment. Multiculturalism and community are important values for us: here, every child can feel they are an important part of our community. Miska-talo is like a second home for them. As a community-based daycare, we are not driven by financial profitability, but focus on high-quality early childhood education and the overall well-being of children. What do we offer? Our small size allows close cooperation and individual support for each child. We are looking for an early childhood education teacher or a social services student for a 13-year-old group, which has 8 children and two educators. A third educator in the small group provides additional support and enables a calmer, more planned daily routine. Staff well-being is very important to us. The specific duties and responsibilities will be tailored to your education and skills. As a teacher, you will be responsible for pedagogical planning together with another teacher. As a social services student, you will play a key role in the daily life of the children’s group, in cooperation with families, and in supporting children's well-being. In our small daycare, we encourage groups to undertake joint projects and other cooperation beyond group boundaries. This way, children learn from each other and practice interaction with different age groups. We value creativity and outdoor activities, such as barbecues in Ruissalo, which enrich children’s experiences and strengthen community. Imagination is the limit, and the child's best interests are always the priority. What do we expect? - Suitable qualification for an early childhood education teacher or social services student - Child-centered and sensitive approach - Ability and willingness to work closely with the team and other staff - Open and flexible attitude - Interest in multiculturalism and Slavic culture (knowledge of Russian language is not necessary) What else would we like to tell? - We have our own special education teacher who supports daily activities. - We ensure you have regular and achievable working hours. - Our daycare has its own kitchen and cleaner, supporting calm and high-quality education.
