Metsola Daycare Center is hiring an early childhood education teacher. The group arrangements for the upcoming fall are still being planned, so you can express your preferences for your future group! Metsola has six groups for children aged 0-5 years. Our daycare is located in Tapiola, Espoo, with good public transportation connections. Metsola Daycare is a charming and well-maintained log house that exudes and smells of newness. We have excellent facilities for group activities, a lovely forested yard, and great outdoor and sports opportunities nearby! As an early childhood education teacher, you will be responsible for planning, assessment, and pedagogy of your group with the support of your team. Your team members include another early childhood education teacher and a child care assistant. The Metsola community includes many professionals in the field, from experienced veterans to those at the beginning of their careers. Metsola operates a highly praised assistant manager model in Espoo, which ensures better support from supervisors. The assistant manager does not work in a group but is a full-time supervisor. Your supervisor is always there to support you, actively present in daily work, and focused on positive leadership and staff well-being. They have also been awarded by the union as a Diamond Leader, nominated by staff. We offer mentoring support to help you start your career as an early childhood education teacher. With the support of the mentoring group, you will become familiar with Espoo's early childhood education and learn to recognize your strengths and skills. You will also gain tools for your professional growth and work well-being. At least a Bachelor's degree in Education, including early childhood education training, or a social and health care university degree (early childhood education) or an equivalent previous qualification, e.g., kindergarten teacher or social educator (Act 272/2005 and Decree 608/2005). Applicants who are about to graduate in early childhood education are also considered. The selected candidate must present a criminal record extract as required by the Criminal Records Act (6.2 §). The Infectious Diseases Act requires those working with preschool children to assess the risk of tuberculosis transmission.
