Accounting Manager - Scania Group - Tokyo, Japan

We are seeking a hands-on Accounting Manager to lead operational and statutory accounting for our Japanese subsidiary. The role is responsible for ensuring that accounting records and statutory financial statements present a true and fair view of the financial position, in compliance with local laws and regulations and the Group Accounting Manual. Key responsibilities include leading daily accounting operations, overseeing month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes, ensuring compliance with Japanese GAAP and group standards, managing external audits and tax consultations, establishing internal control systems, managing cash, payments, receivables, providing guidance to internal stakeholders, and leading the accounting team. The position is based in Tokyo, with hybrid work arrangements, and offers social insurance, commuting allowance, pension plan, paid leave from start, and additional medical leave.
