The role of an early childhood education teacher is to act as an expert in pedagogical activities within your child group and to create daily routines where every child feels good and can learn. The work is community-oriented, reflected in the activities of multidisciplinary teams and active collaboration between all units. Hollola’s early childhood education is based on implementing positive pedagogy, and we see supporting the child's overall well-being, strengthening play skills, and fostering a relationship with nature as important. We expect you to be playful, child-oriented, sensitive, and possess good interaction skills. Your work should be characterized by a participatory, present, and enthusiastic approach that emphasizes children's participation. We value strong pedagogical expertise in early childhood education and good teamwork and communication skills. If you are passionate about community, insights of young children, and pedagogical learning, you are the colleague we are looking for. Your supervisor, the special education teacher, and the manager will be strong support in your work. Pre-primary education is organized at schools as part of early grades, in collaboration with grades 1-2 of basic education. The child group includes a pre-primary teacher and a classroom teacher, and if needed, a child caretaker and/or a school assistant, as well as a special education teacher part-time. The early grades are based on the curriculum of pre-primary and basic education. The work is activity-based, playful, and takes place in small groups and environments that support learning and growth. Welcome to join us as an early childhood education teacher! The qualification requirement is based on the Finnish Act on Early Childhood Education (13 July 2018/540) sections 26 and 75. Applicants who are completing their studies in early childhood education are considered. The selected candidate must present an acceptable health certificate and a criminal record extract as required by the law on background checks for those working with children (504/2002).
