During last summer, 90% of our summer workers felt they were integrated into the work community, and over 90% felt they could utilize their skills during the summer job. We are now looking for social and health care professionals and final-year students for summer positions from June to August. Welcome to summer at Rinnekodit Reelink or Meria! We offer various lengths of social and health care summer jobs in the 'Housing First' services at Reelink and Meria. Reelink provides 24/7 supported housing for mental health rehabilitees. Meria is a women’s housing unit. Residents often have long-term homelessness, substance abuse, and mental health issues. For some, our housing unit is a lifelong home, for others a stepping stone to more independent living. We implement the Housing First principle, which states that housing is a basic right for everyone. We do not require lifestyle changes or abstinence from substances to get housing. You can request a suitable unit in your application. The exact location of the units can be seen on the map below the announcement. As a summer worker, you are an important part of our team. Together with your team, you ensure a meaningful everyday life for clients even during the holiday season. You work according to our shared values and rules, focusing on clients’ needs. The work includes varied and sometimes challenging situations, which your team will help you solve. The varied workdays offer opportunities to develop professionally and learn new things every day. You work alongside residents and help them live their own lives. The most important thing is respectful interaction with residents. Your work includes a rehabilitative approach, supporting daily activities, and guidance. You help clients take responsibility for themselves, the functioning of the community, and their living environment. Our goal is to enable residents to maintain their housing and feel safe. Residents are actively involved in planning and implementing activities. During summer, we spend more time outdoors enjoying the warmth, flowers, and sun—barbecues and outdoor games are also part of our summer! We expect from you: Final-year studies or a degree in social and health care and registration with the National Supervisory Authority for Welfare and Health (for practical nurses, we require the Suosikki registration). Ability to interact with clients individually and warmly. Readiness for three-shift work (mainly two-shift work). Basic Finnish language skills needed for documentation and client interaction.
