North Pole Catering is looking for an experienced and proactive head chef for the new restaurant opening at Apukka Resort. A modern, well-equipped kitchen offers top-quality tools and a relaxed international team. As head chef, you will ensure these facilities are paired with flavors worthy of them – high-quality, thoughtful, and inspired by Lapland's natural ingredients. What do we offer? Full-time, fixed-term employment from September or October 2023 until mid-April 2027. Contract extension to be discussed separately. Contract salary, considering your skills and experience. You will succeed in the role if you have experience with à la carte kitchens and high-quality raw materials, independent and professional work approach, vision and enthusiasm to develop the kitchen and menus, leadership skills: ability to motivate the team and keep the kitchen running smoothly, knowledge of profitable kitchen operations and processes, good organizational skills and ability to work under pressure, Finnish and English language skills; note: the working language in the kitchen is English, possibility to use your own car is preferred due to the location of the workplace.
