AFRY Advanced Automation in Borlänge is part of AFRY's initiative to deliver innovative and sustainable automation solutions to industry. We work closely with our clients to create efficient, safe, and future-proof systems that contribute to increased productivity and reduced environmental impact. Our team consists of dedicated specialists in automation, electrical design, machine design, and project management, offering a dynamic work environment focused on skill development and collaboration. We are seeking an automation engineer to drive the development of advanced automation solutions within our projects. Your responsibilities include ensuring automation needs in ongoing assignments, sometimes overseeing the entire project process from customer idea and sales support to operational plant, and sometimes contributing specialist expertise in specific parts of the project. You will also work as a subproject manager, responsible for planning, coordinating, and following up on the automation part of our projects. The work is conducted both locally from our office in Borlänge and in collaboration with AFRY's other organization. Many projects are within the steel and energy sectors. Work weeks vary, with some projects lasting longer and others involving shorter efforts across multiple projects. You will work closely with our automation team in Borlänge, where collaboration and knowledge exchange are central. We see that you take a proactive role in our automation assignments, with high responsibility and good teamwork skills. The role also involves mentoring junior colleagues and contributing to team skill development. AFRY has a strong network of competence forums connecting senior engineers across the organization, providing opportunities to build relationships, share knowledge, and develop in new technology areas. As system development advances rapidly, our clients' system environments will need upgrades, so you should be open to learning new platforms and technologies to meet future demands.
