A position as a personal assistant is available in Hervanta, Tampere, with a permanent contract. Initially, the working hours are 90 hours over three weeks, with shift work in use. Additional work is likely to be offered irregularly, but once the employee is familiar with all tasks, working hours can be increased to 120 hours/3 weeks upon employee request. The workplace operates on a three-shift schedule from Monday to Sunday, including night shifts from 21:00 to 06:00. NOTE: The employee cannot work only day or night shifts; all shift workers perform all types of shifts. The starting salary is €13.89 per hour. NOTE: If the employee has completed a practical nurse or equivalent healthcare qualification, the base hourly wage is €15.09. Shift allowances and other benefits are in accordance with the national collective agreement for personal assistants. Duties include physical assistance from the employer with daily activities (toilet, hygiene, dressing, transfers, etc.), meals, household tasks, and activities outside the home. The job does not require formal education or previous experience, nor a background in social and health care, but it is demanding (in line with the original spirit of the field).
