Nurmijärvi - Proudly local Food and Cleaning Service Worker / Seitsemän Veljeksen School Are you the food and cleaning service worker we are looking for to join the Aleksia team? We are seeking a worker for Aleksia at the new Seitsemän Veljeksen School. Our slogan "Arjen kumppani" (Partner in everyday life) reflects our mission. The position is permanent, starting on 10.08.2026. It is full-time, with a weekly working hours of 38.25 hours plus a 30-minute daily break. Who are we? We are a municipal enterprise of Nurmijärvi, with about 140 professionals responsible for school and early childhood education food services, as well as cleaning services for municipal properties. What will you do? As a food and cleaning service worker, you will handle daily cleaning of schools and assist in kitchen tasks. You will participate in dishwashing and customer service in the school cafeteria. Basic cleaning tasks at scheduled times and daily self-monitoring tasks are also part of your duties. You will work in a seven-person team at Aleksia, which manages food and cleaning services for Seitsemän Veljeksen School. The school is a secondary school with approximately 600 students and 40 staff members. What do we expect from you? Your service attitude will charm both customers and colleagues. We hope you have an interest in kitchen and cleaning work and the ability to work independently in quickly changing situations. The tasks can sometimes be physically demanding. We require a qualification or work experience in cleaning or catering, and a valid hygiene passport. Proficiency in Finnish is necessary. Salary and employment terms are based on the municipal general collective agreement and the complexity of the tasks in Nurmijärvi. The full-time monthly salary is 2171.04 euros. Additional experience-based pay may be provided. According to KVTES, experience pay is 3 or 8% of the task-specific salary. The position is subject to a six-month trial period.
