We are currently seeking a team leader for our Global team for a permanent position. Your role at Balanco As a Global team leader, you have a unique opportunity to build and develop a team with a clear growth trajectory. The Global service line is still relatively young, and the team leader plays a significant role in shaping its operational methods and expertise. Your work combines managerial responsibilities and expert tasks in an international environment. You will be responsible for the daily management of your own expert team and serve as an important link between operational management and your team members. Balanco’s Global team serves international parent and subsidiary companies of corporations, as well as growth-oriented startups and SMEs operating in at least two of Balanco’s countries: Finland, Sweden, Norway, and Denmark. You will act as the Finnish global team leader, and your team is a central part of this Nordic collaboration. Approximately 20% of your working time involves financial management expert work (accounting or payroll, depending on your skills), and 80% focuses on team leadership, client management, and operational development. Your team consists of eight financial management experts in various roles. You will receive support and coaching from business management, HR, and other Balanco colleagues. We will familiarize you with your tasks and are always available to answer questions. As a Balanco employee, you can freely choose whether to work mainly remotely or at one of our six offices located in Vantaa, Lahti, Kuopio, Oulu, Tampere, and Rovaniemi. The salary for the position will be determined based on the candidate’s skills and previous experience. Key responsibilities: Managing daily operations and well-being of your team Developing shared operational practices within the team Coaching, supporting, and developing the expertise of team members Managing client relationships together with business management Planning resource allocation and ensuring smooth workflow Ensuring excellent customer experience in international client projects Collaborating with other Balanco Global teams in different countries Developing processes and implementing technological solutions The role emphasizes development, internationality, and a people-oriented leadership style. What we expect from you: Experience in financial management expert tasks Experience or genuine interest in leadership Ability to operate fluently in an international environment; proficiency in English is essential, Nordic language skills are an advantage Encouraging, positive, and approachable leadership style Excellent communication and collaboration skills across borders and cultures Ability to develop operational practices and implement change Customer-oriented approach and good overall management skills Knowledge of Netvisor, Procountor, Netsuite, and Odoo is considered an advantage.
