Tehtävänkuvaus
The practical nurse in the resource pool is responsible for covering sudden absences in the home care areas. The work is mobile, and the work location may change almost daily. Practical nurses in the resource pool work in different home care areas and, if necessary, also in remote home care, work organization, and home rehabilitation and discharge teams. As an employee, you have the opportunity to influence your own shifts. In the fall, the night care in the resource pool will expand to include emergency assistance alerts, so experience in similar work is considered an advantage. We offer orientation for various work tasks at different workstations. Workplace name and address: Home Care Resource Pool, Asemanrinne 9, 08500 Lohja Working hours: three-shift work The position is temporary, from 24.8.2026 to 31.8.2027. Qualifications: To operate under the title of practical nurse, it is required to have the right to use a protected professional title suitable for the task. In addition to formal qualifications, we expect experience in elderly care, flexibility, teamwork skills, and a customer-oriented and rehabilitative approach. The position requires a driver’s license and the ability to use your own car. Applicants must provide a certificate of registration from Valvira. The candidate’s medication management skills will be verified through LOVe medication management exams and demonstrations. The position requires vaccination against infectious diseases as per section 48 of the Infectious Diseases Act and tuberculosis screening as per section 55. Selected candidates may be asked to provide a substance abuse certificate according to the West Uusimaa Wellbeing Services County’s drug policy. Starting from 1.1.2024, the selected candidate must present a criminal record extract necessary for working with elderly persons, in accordance with section 28 of law 741/2023.
