We are now seeking an Assistant Director for Pilke Kaniini in Hiekkaharju, Vantaa. The work begins on August 3, 2026. In addition to the assistant director role, you will work as an early childhood education teacher in the group. Pilke Kaniini is a small, home-like, music-oriented daycare for children aged 0–5 years. There are two groups: rabbits and hares. The daycare is located in a quiet residential area in Hiekkaharju, within walking distance of the Hiekkaharju train station. The atmosphere at Kaniini is safe, warm, and immediate. We value unhurried encounters with children, listening, and acknowledging experiences, as well as cuddles, closeness, and good spirits. Children participate in planning activities together with adults. Due to our small size, every child and adult knows each other well, allowing us to meet individual needs effectively. At Kaniini, everyone has the opportunity to develop at their own pace. Would you like to influence many children's lives and early years? As an assistant director, you will work alongside the director in organizing daily routines. You will manage daily schedules, adjust shifts, and handle substitute arrangements. You are a reliable right hand with problem-solving skills and a flexible attitude to quickly changing situations. As an early childhood education teacher, you support and promote children's growth, development, and learning. You understand the contents of early childhood education plans and can implement them practically. You plan, evaluate, and develop pedagogical activities for the children's group and contribute to the quality of pedagogy in your unit. You have a strong pedagogical approach, a positive and active attitude, good communication skills, and the ability to genuinely connect with children.
