Vantaa Adult High School is seeking a full-time substitute teacher for biology, geography, and health education for the upcoming academic year, from August 31, 2026, to April 4, 2027. The position involves both daytime and evening classes at different locations, with face-to-face and blended learning formats. Most blended learning is conducted remotely. The subjects and courses to be taught are known, with approximately 50% health education, about 30% biology, and around 20% geography. The role may also include other paid tasks such as supervision of matriculation exams. We value applicants with excellent Finnish language skills, flexibility, good interpersonal skills, and the ability to work independently. Previous teaching experience in the subjects at lower secondary or upper secondary level is considered an advantage. The position is also suitable for teachers starting their careers. Vantaa Adult High School has over 700 evening students and follows the curriculum of an adult high school in Vantaa, with three locations in Tikkurila, Martinlaakso, and Vehkala. Administratively, it is part of Tikkurila High School. Many students are pursuing double diplomas in collaboration with partners Mercuria and Vantaa Vari, where we prepare youth groups during the day.
