We are seeking a childcare worker for a fixed-term position in Martinkallio pre-primary. Martinkallio School will start one pre-primary group next autumn. You will work in a pleasant school with enthusiastic, committed, and skilled colleagues. Your work will be supported by an experienced early childhood education unit manager, deputy manager, and a comprehensive special education teacher working in the unit once a week. We are looking for a competent childcare worker who creates a warm atmosphere, is proactive, and has a spark in their eye! Together with your team members, you will implement activities according to the pre-primary curriculum and ensure that children experience moments of wonder, insight, and learning. The well-being of each child is important to us, supported by sensitive adult presence. Supporting language development, teaching language skills, promoting reading, and encouraging movement and a physically active lifestyle are key goals. Positive pedagogy is the guiding principle of our activities. Workplace name and address: Martinkallio Pre-Primary, Martinkallio 2, 02300 Espoo Working hours: 38 hours 15 minutes/week The position is fixed-term from August 11, 2026, to June 4, 2027. The planned interview times are: video interviews from July 31 to August 3, and group interviews on August 4 and 6. Eligibility requirement: Qualification in accordance with the Early Childhood Education Act (540/2018, Section 28, Regulation 753/2018, Sections 3 and 4). Suitable qualifications include a basic degree in education and guidance, a basic degree in social and health care, or an equivalent qualification, including or supplemented with extensive studies in child care, education, and teaching. For example, childcare worker, daycare worker, or practical nurse (child and youth care program). Applicants must present a criminal record extract as required by the Criminal Records Act (6.2 §). The Infectious Diseases Act requires those working with preschool children to clarify their tuberculosis infection risk.
