Hanken School of Economics is looking for a Social Sustainability Coordinator (40%, temporary substitute position), 1.8.2026 – 28.2.2027. As Social Sustainability Coordinator, you will be welcomed as part of Hankens Quality Assurance team. You will closely collaborate across several university functions, including administration, faculty, and students in an international environment. What you will do: The work mainly includes a) coordinating Hankens DEI work and operationalizing our DEI plan 2025–2027; b) developing teaching and support materials to strengthen the DEI competence of Hankens faculty and staff. Specific tasks include the following: - Develop and support Hankens DEI work and the operationalisation of our internal DEI plan, especially the goal of strengthening staff competencies to work in a diverse environment. - Coordinate and act as secretary Hankens DEI committee. - Prepare Hankens monthly internal sustainability newsletter. - Coordinate and maintain contacts for Hankens collaboration with other higher education institutions on DEI issues. What we expect from you: - Have a strong commitment to DEI and are ready to take initiative. - Have excellent communication skills and very good proficiency in English, both spoken and written. Knowledge of Swedish and/or Finnish is considered a merit. - Have a bachelors or masters degree, preferably with an educational background related to social sustainability issues, and 2–3 years of relevant work experience related to DEI topics. Experience from the higher education sector is considered a merit. - Have strong organizational skills, work independently, and be detail-oriented. - Ability to collaborate in cross-functional teams with administration, faculty, and students. Knowledge of dialogic methods in the context of mediation is considered a merit. What we offer: - The salary is based on the university salary system in Finland and placed on demand level 8 for expert and support staff, with an additional personal salary element. The total monthly salary for a 40% part-time position is between 1350-1460 €/month depending on merits and experience.
