We are now looking for a Business Manager for UPM Forest and Real Estates' Northern region wood procurement operations in Rovaniemi. As a future supervisor says, "As a Business Manager, you will do independent and responsible work with a broad network of companies and stakeholders in harvesting and transportation. With a development-oriented attitude and a bold approach to future operational models, you will add value to your work. You will be supported by a friendly team whose main task is to ensure safe and high-quality supply for the factories." You will be responsible for the operation of the harvesting and transportation company network within your area, working with the network to achieve set goals. You will plan and implement harvesting and transportation programs cost-effectively and systematically. You will manage stock utilization and inventory levels proactively and with quality. You will act as a customer and factory representative for agreed delivery accounts. You will work closely with operations, purchasing, and forestry experts on harvesting and transportation issues within your area. The ideal candidate has relevant education such as a forestry engineer (AMK), forester, or other suitable education. Previous experience in forestry or wood procurement is beneficial but not essential. You are comfortable working with different stakeholders and actively maintain contacts over a wide geographical area. Interest in information systems and a desire to develop operational practices support your performance and learning. Good communication and interaction skills, along with proficiency in Finnish and English, will help you succeed. You are prepared to work in the field as part of the overall task. You enjoy both independent work and teamwork and adapt your working methods to the situation.
