We are looking for an R&D Engineer to join the product development technology team in Järvenpää. At Logisnext Europe Oy, we value, inspire, act together, and take responsibility. As an R&D Engineer, you will work as part of an international product development unit of about 50 people, responsible for defining and designing safety and functional systems for electric automatic and manual forklifts. The team also handles battery technologies, telematics, and indoor positioning. You will influence solutions that guide forklift safety, performance, user experience, and environmental efficiency. The work is practical and involves concept development, prototype building, testing, and field deployment. You will collaborate closely with end-users and see the impact of your work in finished products. Your key tasks include designing forklift safety systems, operational logic, and architecture, preparing functional specifications, evaluating technological solutions, component selection, supplier cooperation, safety analysis, developing safety-related solutions, supporting product development throughout its lifecycle, and working closely with various expert teams, users, and stakeholders. The office is located in Järvenpää, and you will work with a flexible hybrid model, partly remote and partly on-site. You will report to the Research & Development Manager. We expect you to have suitable technical education (e.g., automotive electronics, automation, mechatronics, university or polytechnic degree), experience with electric motor drives and mobile machinery design, understanding of machine safety standards, analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, good communication skills, self-direction, decision-making ability, fluent Finnish and English skills, and experience with battery technology and indoor positioning is a plus.
