We are currently looking for new personal assistants for our clients for important but flexible assistance work. The job is paid according to the private social services sector collective agreement and is suitable for those seeking full-time, part-time, occasional, or gig work. As a personal assistant, you can define how much and when you work, so the job also fits well alongside other work or studies. You do not need special training for the assistant role; the most important qualities are the right attitude and reliability. At Aarre Assistants, you will receive continuous support and guidance from your supervisor, and you will never be alone with your tasks or questions, we promise. What is personal assistance and what does an assistant do? Personal assistance is a service where the personal assistant acts as the client’s hands and feet, performing tasks that the client would do themselves but cannot do alone due to disability or illness. The purpose of a personal assistant is to help the client with everyday tasks both at home and outside the home. Assistance tasks are often ordinary daily chores that everyone performs in their own daily life. The tasks do not typically require a separate qualification, such as a practical nurse degree, so anyone can act as an assistant. Assistance tasks include helping the client with shopping, outdoor activities, eating or cooking, dressing, hobbies, or household chores. What kind of person is suitable as an assistant? We, as an employer of hundreds of personal assistants, can say that the best fit for a personal assistant is someone with the right attitude towards helping work. An assistant should be reliable, positive, helpful, diligent, and personable. You do not need previous experience, as each new assistant will be thoroughly trained in Aarre Assistants’ own Aarre Academy before starting work. Experience or education in caregiving or assistance may be beneficial for some clients. What kind of shifts are available and can I influence them? Personal assistance services are provided on weekdays and weekends, often from morning to evening. At Aarre Assistants, you can influence how much and when you want to work, as well as the client you work with. We aim to match the needs of our clients with the preferences of our assistants so that it suits everyone. You will always have the opportunity to meet a potential new client before starting the relationship, and if you feel that something does not work as you expected, we can work together to find a suitable alternative.
