We are looking for a SCHOOL COACH for a fixed-term position with the City of Järvenpää. School coaching days are diverse, and you can shape your role according to your personality and skills. Your tasks include: Engaging and supporting youth: Being present in the school environment a0in hallways, during breaks, and in the cafeteria. Offering conversation support and assistance with everyday challenges, helping students find their place in the school community. Supporting school attachment: Assisting students facing challenges with school attendance, motivation, or absences. Working closely with them to build trust. Community well-being activities: Planning and implementing group activities, classroom activities, theme days, and recess activities that improve class spirit and prevent loneliness. Multidisciplinary collaboration: Acting as a bridge between youth, teachers, student welfare, and guardians. Why come to Järvenpää? You will be supported by a supervisor, four school coaches from upper and combined schools, two school coaches for integration, and three school coaches for rehabilitative education. Additionally, you will be part of the schoola0s community student welfare team and the school community. - You will not be alone, and help is always available. We have permission to experiment and develop. Sometimes failure is part of the process a0the most important thing is to find effective solutions together for the benefit of students and families. What we expect from you: Suitable higher education degree: community educator, social services graduate, or other relevant higher education qualification. Experience working with children and youth: understanding the world, challenges, and developmental stages of middle school-aged children. Fluent interaction skills, self-direction. We also value experience in guiding groups and planning and implementing various community activities. Active and proactive work attitude, adaptable to change. School life changes quickly.
