Leppäkorven School is a comprehensive school for grades 1-9, with approximately 820 students during the 2026-27 school year. About 80 adults work in our school community. Our goal is to be a pedagogically unified basic education school where students of different ages meet and interact daily. Classroom teaching and subject teaching are located close to each other, and school staff collaborate, supporting the idea of a unified school and providing students with a seamless educational path from first grade to the end of basic education. We are looking for a special education teacher responsible for planning and implementing learning and school attendance support for students in the assigned grade level, in collaboration with subject teachers. The special education teacher participates in both group and individual support planning and implementation within their grade level. The work emphasizes group support and collaboration with grade-level teachers. Next school year, the special education teacher will work with 9th-grade students. We hope you are a professional in learning and school attendance support, with good collaboration and interaction skills and an active work approach. We expect familiarity with the law reform on learning support and understanding of the legal arrangements for teaching in basic education. We are developing our school according to the ProKoulu model, which involves shared goals and practices among the entire adult community to guide student behavior through positive feedback.
