South Savo Welfare Area Eloisa is seeking a registered nurse for a permanent position at Mannerhelmi Mikkeli starting from September 1, 2026, or as agreed. The new Mannerhelmi building is located in the city center of Mikkeli. The service is a community-based, 24-hour elderly care facility divided into three residential floors. There are 35 customer places for round-the-clock accommodation and 20 places for communal living. We are looking for registered nurses to join our multidisciplinary team, who will act as experts and implementers of quality care and develop elderly care. Your tasks include basic care, ensuring meaningful daily activities, administering medication, and performing nursing duties. In launching the new unit and working with clients, you will have the opportunity to utilize your skills comprehensively and holistically. The qualification requirement is a Bachelor of Health Care (or previous vocational qualification) and a license issued under the Act on Health Care Professionals (559/94). Additionally, sufficient oral and written Finnish language skills are required for the role. The position requires vaccination against infectious diseases as per section 48 of the Infectious Diseases Act and a health status report on respiratory tuberculosis as per section 55. A six-month probation period applies. Persons working with the elderly must present an acceptable criminal record extract before starting work if the employment exceeds three months (Supervision Act 741/2023, section 28).
