Työtehtävän kuvaus
We are seeking a library bus clerk for a fixed-term position. The duties include professional library services, customer service, organizing library materials, driving the library bus, and maintaining the vehicle. The bus collaborates with schools and daycares, and the customer base mainly consists of children, young people, and the elderly. Depending on skills, the job may include collection work related to the bus. The work involves two shifts, as routes vary weekly between day and evening shifts. All routes are driven alone. Working at the main library's customer service is an integral part of the role. We expect applicants to have an active and independent work approach and readiness to serve customers of all ages. Good interaction and teamwork skills are key to performing the job. Computer skills are necessary. Knowledge of heavy machinery and diverse driving experience are considered advantages. Salary and employment terms are based on the KVTES agreement. The salary for the position is according to the level 2KIR60C1 in the pay system. The position will be filled by July 1, 2026, or as agreed. The trial period is four months. Kauhava Library offers a workplace guided by openness, reliability, and solution-orientedness. Our shared goal is to provide high-quality library services to all residents of Kauhava. We are a small but effective team, supporting each other and working together. The library bus position requires a professional qualification in information and library science and a valid C-driver's license in accordance with EU directive (2003/59/EC), including a professional driver qualification. If no professionally qualified applicants are available, those with a C-driver's license and professional driving competence will also be considered. The selected candidate must, within 30 days of receiving the employment decision, submit an acceptable medical certificate of health and a criminal record extract in accordance with the law on background checks for working with children (504/2002).
