Join us for diverse mixed practice work at a friendly, warm small private animal clinic. We have small animal consultations in Pattijoki (Raahe) and Liminka (about 25 km from Oulu). We value good customer service and collaboration skills, down-to-earth attitude, and a good sense of humor in applicants. Ideally, you would work at both clinics (approximately 45 km/35 min apart), perform both large and small animal practice, and participate in the emergency duty rota. However, all offers are considered, so feel free to suggest a suitable alternative! Both clinics are equipped with inhalation anesthesia devices, anesthesia monitoring monitors, ultrasound machines, dental calculus removal devices, in-house laboratories (hematology, clinical chemistry), and Liminka’s clinic additionally has a native X-ray machine, dental X-ray, and dental drill unit. We also perform diverse large animal practice in nearby municipalities. Our facilities are well-equipped for horse dental care (electric rasp and efficient diastema irrigation device), with opportunities for tendon ultrasound examinations and two rectal ultrasound devices. We conduct regular health care and monthly visits to cattle and pig farms, horse dental treatments, some mare practice, and, if possible, emergency practice. We also participate regularly in the Raahe area emergency rota: we do mixed emergency work about once a week on weekdays and one weekend per month. For emergencies, we offer accommodation and basic practical tools (plus fetotomy, Gynstick, quick caliper). We can offer you diverse practice tailored to your interests and opportunities for further training as needed. The clinics are staffed with 1-2 veterinary nurses, and sometimes another veterinarian is present during the week. The position requires at least 80% of full-time hours, but you can suggest a suitable alternative. We can employ you either on a contract or as a self-employed professional. The salary is commission-based, influenced by your role and experience, with competitive emergency duty allowances. We are primarily looking for a person who fits well into our team; your role can be customized to suit you. Shorter temporary positions, e.g., for June to August, are also possible. The position will be filled as soon as a suitable candidate is found.
