Hoivarakentajat is one of Finland's longest-standing builders of public-use facilities. We construct desirable service buildings for leading social, health, and early childhood education companies and organizations. Founded in 2011 with roots dating back to 2005, our turnover in 2025 was a record 42.9 million euros with an average staff of 22. In spring 2026, Hoivarakentajat gained a new long-term majority owner supporting the next growth phase. We are expanding and now seek a Project Development Manager to help build our next growth phase. The role involves network work, land acquisition, understanding customer needs, design guidance, and financial overview of projects. Responsibilities include identifying plots and new project ideas, collaborating with municipalities, landowners, investors, social and health service providers, and other partners, developing projects with clients and internal experts, guiding early design phases, assessing project profitability and feasibility, and identifying new opportunities especially in growth centers. The work is nationwide, with current focus areas being the Helsinki metropolitan area, Pirkanmaa, and Turku region. The role requires some travel. We seek someone who can build trust, see the big picture, and advance projects long-term. Experience in project development, land acquisition, zoning, or design guidance is desired, along with networks and understanding of the real estate and construction markets in growth centers. Ability to work independently and systematically, interpersonal skills, solution-oriented, collaborative approach, and a desire to build sustainable business are key. Experience in healthcare construction is a plus, but backgrounds in residential, commercial, or other project development are also suitable. We value openness, honesty, and the right attitude.
