Would you like to do meaningful work with children, youth, and their families with disabilities? Join the Oma Häme disability social work team in Forssa. We are looking for a social counselor for a fixed-term position until the end of 2027. In your work, you will meet clients and their relatives in everyday situations, assess service needs, prepare client plans, and participate in the preparation and making of official decisions. The work involves long-term and planned official work, with an emphasis on empathetic interaction. The Forssa region team is small and close-knit: you will work as a social counselor alongside a social worker. You will receive strong support from a broader network, including regional teams, the lead social worker, and a multidisciplinary expert group (e.g., doctor, psychologist, and legal advisor if needed). Your workplace is located in Forssa at Turuntie 18, but work moves with clients across the region (Forssa, Humppila, Jokioinen, Tammela, Ypäjä). The work can be partly remote, and you will have access to flexible work tools and, if necessary, a leasing car. A driver’s license is required. What we expect from you: You are a qualified professional with a basic degree in social and health care and in accordance with the Social Welfare Professionals Act, with the ability to work independently and solution-oriented. You enjoy working with people, can handle various life situations, and bring clarity to complex situations. Interviews will be held on August 5, 2026. The salary for this position is €3190.90/month. In addition, we pay experience-based supplements, which can be 0%-8%. The accumulation of vacation days is also based on service time. The working hours are standard 38.25 hours/week. Salary and other employment terms are determined according to the SOTE agreement. The trial period is six months. In direct patient and client work, vaccination protection as required by the Infectious Diseases Act section 48 and a tuberculosis certificate as per section 55 are required. The selected candidate must present a satisfactory health certificate within the specified time after the decision.
