Åbo Akademi is an international research university with a broad Swedish-language educational responsibility in Finland. With its special Nordic foundation, Åbo Akademi has an established position nationally and internationally in research and education. Åbo Akademi is seeking a specialist in continuous learning. The position is permanent from August 10, 2026 (or by agreement), with placement in Vaasa or Turku. Continuous learning is a strategically important area at Åbo Akademi and a central part of the university's societal mission. The activity develops relevant and flexible educational opportunities for continuous learning and builds bridges between academic knowledge, working life, and society. The team has broad expertise in productization, sales, pricing, project activities, and external funding, in close collaboration with both internal and external actors. As a specialist in continuous learning, you will work with qualified tasks related to collaboration, further education, project activities, and coordination. You play an important role in developing and supporting the activity in close cooperation with departments, external partners, and colleagues, as well as contributing to clear processes, good service, and well-functioning support within continuous learning. You support the manager in coordinating, planning, and developing cooperation with departments and external partners. You are responsible for planning, administration, coordination, and implementation of competence development as well as project activities, including funding applications, execution, follow-up, and reporting. You support departments in developing continuing education activities and in planning and implementing the sale of education. You support guides and administrators within continuous learning. You coordinate the Erasmus+ accreditation of the KL team during the project period. We are looking for someone with a suitable higher university degree who wants to contribute to developing continuous learning at Åbo Akademi. You have experience of qualified administrative, coordinating, or developmental tasks and enjoy a role where you can combine structure, collaboration, and independent responsibility. Experience in continuous learning, further education, project activities, or higher education sector is meritorious. We assume that you have very good knowledge of Swedish and good knowledge of Finnish and English. As a person, you are proactive, service-oriented, and have good ability to build and maintain collaborations with various actors. The salary follows level 9-10 for support and expert staff. Additionally, a personal salary component based on individual performance is paid. A probation period of 6 months applies to new hires.
