Lakelan päiväkoti invites you to join a passionate and professional community where history meets the present at the heart of early childhood education. Our daycare consists of one larger unit and an outdoor building, and the entire environment exudes the atmosphere of bygone eras—buildings and grounds tell their own stories. Our yard is cozy and invites movement, play, and exploration. Children can grow up in a safe and stimulating environment where every adult is present with their heart. In this role, you will influence the unit's activities and develop early childhood education together with a skilled team. We are seeking a childcare worker for a permanent position at Lakela Daycare Center. Our daycare has 5 different groups. Your workgroup is currently with children aged 2-3 years, and you will work alongside two early childhood education teachers, dedicated and warm professionals, with whom daily routines run smoothly and joyfully. Your future team: You will work closely with two early childhood education teachers. You will also be supported by other childcare workers and teachers at the daycare. We have an open, communicative, and sense of humor work community. We value versatile skills and experience from various backgrounds, which will be beneficial in this role. You can also be a career changer; we will train all our employees for their tasks. We highly support the development of your skills and enable studies alongside work. Workplace name and address: Lakela Daycare Center, Vanha Lagstadintie 8, 02770 Espoo. Working hours: 38 hours 15 minutes/week. The position is permanent starting from August 3, 2026. We will consider all applications received during the application period. The selection will be made after the application period ends and interviews are completed. Eligibility requirement: Qualification in accordance with the Early Childhood Education Act (540/2018, Section 28, Regulation 753/2018, Sections 3 and 4). Suitable qualifications include a basic degree in education and guidance, a basic degree in social and health care, or other comparable qualifications, which include or have been supplemented with sufficiently broad studies in child care, upbringing, and education. Examples include childcare worker, day care assistant, and practical nurse (child and youth care program). Applicants must present a criminal record extract as specified in the Criminal Records Act, Section 6.2. The Infectious Diseases Act requires those working with preschool children to assess the risk of tuberculosis transmission. We appreciate the ability to meet children and their parents individually, respectfully, and sensitively. Good teamwork skills and enthusiasm for developing our daycare operations are also valued.
