We are located in a beautiful area in Espoo Saunalahti, near the sea with good transportation connections. We are a daycare with five groups, working in pairs. Our team consists of about 15 educators, a daycare assistant, and a director. Our activities are guided by an arts education theme, which is reflected in our daily activities through crafts, music, movement, and expression, as well as an inspiring learning environment. It is important to us that children feel the daycare is a safe and joyful place to come every day — this is built through sensitive encounters, small group activities, and close cooperation with families. Our surroundings include nearby forests, the sea, and other excursion destinations that we actively utilize. We also organize various events for children and families monthly and annually. You participate in supporting children’s growth, development, and learning together with the team, families, and the entire work community. Your core tasks include: - Implementing pedagogy: Participating in planning and evaluating quality early childhood education as part of the team, utilizing your strengths. Implementing small group and full-day pedagogy according to Touhula Rhythm. - Responsibility for your own small group: Managing your small group’s activities and participating in pedagogical documentation and the preparation of children’s early childhood education plans together with the team. - Caring for the learning environment: Ensuring that the children’s learning environment is diverse, safe, and tidy. - Positive customer experience: Building trust and open interaction with families. The final salary depends on years of experience and any task-specific or personal salary supplements. We expect from you: - Excellent proficiency in Finnish - Qualification as an early childhood education childcare worker according to the Early Childhood Education Act - Ability to build open and professional interaction with all stakeholders - Responsible work attitude and willingness to try new methods, actively developing your professional skills - A criminal record certificate as required by law and a health statement under the Infectious Diseases Act.
